riddle: im thinking of a number

Time for a riddle. Something I thought of last night.

I think this could work for analytical people and not-so analytical people.

I’m thinking of a number between 1 and 100.

I write it down on a piece of paper.

We take turns. You can guess 1 number per turn, and I will tell you whether you guessed high or low, or if you guessed the number on the paper correctly.

Guess correctly and the game is finished.

We start by offering you 10 dollars if you get it right the first turn, then every turn I take away a dollar until you start having to pay me.

So if it takes you 8 turns, you get 2 dollars. But if it takes you 12, you pay ME 2 dollars.

The question is, would you like to play? Why or why not?
