I feel like I’m being gaslit and like I’m the crazy one when I hear about AI. How people say it makes them 10x faster and they can’t imagine a world where they go back to programming the way they were before. Are you all making TODO apps or prototypes?

It’s the same way I felt when I first heard that millions of people use microsoft outlook, one-drive, sharepoint, and so forth, daily for essential business functions day-to-day. We used that junk at my last job, and we migrated to it in my current job. And it’s just as broken, slow, unintuitive, buggy, and garbage as I remember it. How can this be normal?

Can’t access my files for 10-20 minutes while I endlessly refresh, log in and out, and troubleshoot. It taking tens of seconds to open a directory. My working hours never updating to the time zone I selected. Everything is just so bloated and slow.

My latest issue is downloading a 14 GB file from one-drive. Seems to be randomly breaking halfway through the download, or straight up downloading a zip with a txt file that says: The file size exceeds the allowed limit. Then why did you let me upload it? Why does it work the fourth time I try to download it. Nothing makes sense, how is everyone ok with this. Use literally anything else.

I’ve been feeling the same increasing resentment towards the Windows operating system, pretty much since they took Windows 7 away from me. I am looking forward to the day I can throw the last Microslop product into the trash.
